LocalSeen vs Profound
The enterprise standard for brand AI visibility versus the tool built for a business with an address. Both measure AI answers. They are not measuring the same thing.
Profound is the most established name in AI visibility, and the depth shows. Agent analytics, AEO content tooling, conversation-level data across a brand's whole footprint. If you are running visibility for a national brand and need to answer "what is the model saying about us everywhere", it is the reference tool.
The pricing follows that ambition. Starter is $99 a month and tracks ChatGPT alone. Perplexity and Google AI Overviews arrive at Growth, $399 a month. Gemini, Copilot and Claude are Enterprise features. A dentist who wants to know what all four major assistants say about their practice cannot buy that from the published plans at any price under a sales call.
LocalSeen answers a narrower question and charges $49 for it. Four engines on every scan, Claude included as standard, and every answer tied to one Google Business Profile rather than a domain. That narrowness is the product, not a gap in it.

Brand visibility and local visibility are different questions
A brand tool asks whether the model mentions your company. A local tool asks whether the model names your branch when someone two miles away wants a dentist tonight. The second question has a denominator the first one does not: every other practice Google Maps returns for that query.
We measured that denominator across 48 US markets. Google Maps returns about 97 businesses for a typical buyer query, and the four assistants together name 11.6 of them. Knowing your brand was mentioned tells you nothing about whether you were one of the 12. That is the number a local business is actually buying.
It also explains the features that sit beside the score here and not there: a Google Business Profile audit, a point-by-point Maps geo-grid and review monitoring. Those are the levers that move a local answer. They are irrelevant to a brand tracking a domain.
Which one fits you?
Pick Profound if
- You market a brand or a national footprint, not a single address.
- You need agent analytics and content tooling, not just a score.
- Perplexity and Copilot coverage matter to you.
- A $399 plan or an enterprise contract is a normal line item.
Pick LocalSeen if
- You run one local business, or a handful, with real addresses.
- You want all four engines including Claude without a sales call.
- You want the Maps geo-grid and the AI score in the same place.
- You want to be told what to fix, not handed a research platform.
